Arc Raiders producers says the "arc raiders items for sale is just beginning" for the extraction shooter. They reveal a Christmas gift to all players of 1,000 tokens: "We are here for the Long-Term"
Arc Raiders had one of the better years in gaming. After months spent in open betas, Embark Studios' shooter arrived to much acclaim in October. Aleksander Grondal is the executive producer of Embark Studios. With the end-of-year approaching, he has taken the time to respond to the enthusiastic reception.
"Internally we were having an absolute blast playing arc raiders coins prior to release and your reaction to our tech test back in April gave us a glimpse of what would be coming," he said. "What was unexpected was the love and enthusiasm you all showed for this title."
He states that the devs of Embark have "poured our hearts" in the project and that players are doing "the same." The journey was complicated, as this version is a reworked re-release of a previous iteration that was originally revealed in 2021. This was primarily geared towards co-op. Undoubtedly, the relief in the office when the company's instincts were confirmed and the people loved this direction had to be powerful.
"The work has just begun," he declares, repeating the sentiment he expressed earlier about building an infrastructure that is durable. "We're building this game for the long term, so we want to keep you entertained and surprised. We hope you stick with us for the ride!"
Grondal teases "so little show you", before revealing to everyone that they will all receive 1,000 Raider Tokens by simply logging into the game. Please make sure you log in before January 13, when the Cold Snap event ends.
It's a nice way to finish off an amazing launch for what is easily one of 2025’s biggest and most popular games. Founded by former Battlefield game developers. Embark's task was to compete against Battlefield 6 (and Call of Duty Black Ops 7), but it succeeded, even winning the award for Best Multiplayer Game from The Game Awards. It's up and down!
Arc Raiders Cold Snap added a number of new features to the game and improved various gameplay aspects. This week, we have had a smaller update, fixing a problem with blueprints that had become too generous.
Arc Raiders version 1.7.2 has just been released. One of the most important changes is that schematics are now easier to earn. The patch notes say that blueprint drop rates are slightly lower, but still higher in general than they were before the update 1.7.0.
As a first point, I'd like to wish everyone a happy holiday season and a great time. Although no statistics are provided, it appears that legendary items could be obtained much faster than Embark Studios had intended.
Now, let's move on to the next question: what rate is it now? Although the rate is higher, it's not as high as before.
Reddit user commented: "Even if they were ridiculously high, I never found a Tempest Blueprint. Week four of spamming the night raids on that sucker." "We always knew it was too great to be true!" One person shouts out.
"I believe they need the right amount to make it not boring for players to get blueprints, but still manageable to get their collections back in a reasonably time. And they're currently figuring out that," adds another.
This is a reference to Expedition, which allows the player to start their Raider over from scratch. Arc Raiders' popularity means that many people are ready to build a second character in order to experiment with different playstyles.
Embark probably tries to balance the drop rates, while not making it too easy. Players will have to decide whether they've found a good cadence. The best day to find legendaries was yesterday. Second best is now.
